Your letter to the bugman:  Hi – this cute little bug appeared on my husband’s hand.  After taking a few photos, he gently relocated it.  Is this a species of assassin bug?

This is indeed an immature Assassin Bug and we believe it is in the genus Zelus.  Though not considered dangerous, Assassin Bugs in the genus Zelus will bite if carelessly handled.
